Leo Bauman is a private consultant for Diversified Partners.
His Real Estate career of 45 years includes the last 32 years as Vice President and Manager for Wells Fargo’s Corporate Properties Group where his responsibilities include oversight on new property lease negotiations and real estate property purchases and sales.
Bauman joined First Interstate Bank in 1987 to manage and resolve high profile, non-performing loans and negotiate sales of commercial ORE properties. He then transitioned to Corporate Properties Group in 1991.
After the acquisition of First Interstate by Wells Fargo in 1996, Bauman continued his responsibilities in the Corporate Properties Group leading the Negotiations Team, and managing all Real Estate transactions within Arizona. During this time period, Wells Fargo’s presence in Arizona grew over 200 percent to nearly three million square feet of office space and over 100 new Retail Banking Store locations.
Prior to this time, Bauman held positions with US Bank of Oreg0n, Willamette Savings and Loan, Sutter Trust Company, and Sun State Savings and Loan. He also was President of Bauman Construction, Inc. from 1978 to 1984.
Bauman initiated and developed the Wells Fargo Chandler Campus of 1,745,000 Square Feet of office space from its inception and completed the four buildings totaling 800,000 square feet. The next phase of the Chandler Campus is currently in the planning stages, which will add an additional 600,000 square feet of office space, as well as a 3,500 car garage.
Bauman is the past president of the Arizona Chapter of CoreNet Global.
Bauman served as a board member on the Finance Council of the Diocese of Phoenix.
He currently resides in Scottsdale.
